Fire door - can I open into garage instead of dining room?

My approved plans show the fire door opening into the garage from the dining area. I take it this is OK and the BCO/bldg regs inspector won't insist it opens into the dining room.

Just wanted to sanity check in case it was obvious to those with more experience!

I think so as all of the integral garages I've ever seen have the fire door opening into the garage, albeit from the hall; but why don't you ask BC, they are ultimately the ones that will have to inspect it & give you your completion certificate!

The problem of have a door open into the garage, if someone break into your garage it will be easier for them to break into as the other way round is harder so check with BCO as above post.
