fire / smoke alarm recommendations

Ive just had an extension so i need smoke alarms hard wired. ideally i wanted smart ones that alert me if they go off. ive looked at nest but they dont do a heat detector for the garage.

I would need them to speak to each other but as i understand a nest smoke alarm wouldnt speak to a heat detector of a different brand

can anyone recommend a system that would do this?

I've got Kidde alarms. 1 heat in garage, 1 optical and 1 smoke in house. They can be wired together or wireless units can be used if wiring not possible.
They are quite bulky, esp the wireless units but I've only ever had battery units so they may all be quite big
