Firebird 50/82 problem

Hi all,
First timer. Went to start the boiler this week and it started first time, which was good. What was bad was that the outside vent blew out a load of black smoke, at which point i turned the boiler off. Boiler was last serviced Nov'13. Then when i went to restart the boiler, it locked out every time. Plenty of oil in the tank.
When it locked out before, due to low oil, it eventually started . This time the blower isn't even trying to start.
All advice greatly appreciated.

C'mon Jerry it's obvious that it needs serviced & there's every chance it needs a new nozzle etc.
Don't waste your time, get the man in.
