Firefox - animated gifs not working! Solution Found

Using FIrefox 2.0.0.14 recently noticed that animated gifs are no longer animated!!

It is a minor annoyance but is bugging me.

I have tried about:config and looked at image.animation_mode which is set to normal.

Any thoughts on what could cause this

Edit IE gifs display correctly

EDIT: Found a solution that worked on another search with google. The culprit Zone Alarm Ad Blocking which was set to On. When turned off the gif animation returns. I now suspect that the changes coincided with an automatic update of ZA

I am coming to that conclusion.
Current system had to be put together rather hurriedly so did not investigate my options for Anti Virus and Firewall as thoroughly as I should have done (thats the best excuse I can think of for now )
