Why are they not banned, not all of them, just the ones that rock the foundations of the house and terrorize all the animals.

My cat has been listening to fireworks for 17 years and doesn't turn a hair now.

As to the argument of whether fireworks should be sold to ordinary people rather than only to display organisers, I can only say that when I was younger I used to enjoy lighting my own fireworks rather than just watching displays.

Mind you, in those days we had that 'common sense' thing.

I remember 1d bangers fondly, however the thunderclaps of today are I think ridiculous.

My neighbour has a dog that's terrified of fireworks. He dare not go out at this time of the year, because of his dog. Last year (and this) the vet has had to prescribe tranquillisers for the poor animal. My own dog, growls and barks a little at fireworks, but is generally quite placid. I must agree, however, fireworks should only be sold to organisers of displays and not the general public.

What really gets me, is when selfish people call for the banning of things purely on the basis that it affects their own selfish behaviour.

It's like watching a damn good film on tv, only to find out it got thousands of complaints about the nudity.

Those thousands don't give a monkeys cock about the other millions who enjoyed it.

It beggars belief.

I wouldn't really mind if it was celebrated on the 5th Nov. But it's been going on for a few weeks now with no sign of letting up!!

You minding or not is exactly what I'm talking about. The fact that you own an animal is a choice you made.
