Hi all, not sure if this is the right place for intro's. please move if not.

Just wanted to say hi, and pleased to have found this forum.
I've had many projects over the years both professionally and private.
But none on the go right now :giggle:
I'm assuming from the topics that like me, most people are in the UK which is nice for a change.
I've had 'a few' careers over the years really, thanks to setbacks, legislation changes, asshole managers and the like.
But mostly down to chasing where the work is and what jobs are still around that would have me lol. as im in the south !!!
No fancy degree so several stints at college, proper ones and all paid for by me.

Professional experience -
Welding - long time ago, but keep my hand in.
Refrigeration - Commercial, Chillers, AC, splits etc. dehumidifiers and a few cold rooms
Gasses - not as in 'gas' boilers but process gasses used in industry / research etc.
Pipe fitting - commercial mostly, chillers, AC, swagelok etc. (+ a few bathrooms, build sites etc)

DIY -
plastering.
Glazing
Car repairs, body work, some mechanics etc. especially Ford Capri's lol and in recent years Mercedes.

Hi, a very warm welcome to the forum.

It sounds like your career is more in the commercial world than domestic, that’s interesting as you will have a different perspective.

I’m not sure if the car section on here is very active, compared to like pistonheads etc.

But the building and construction sections are full of highly experienced professionals who give great advice, so well worth looking at.

That's fine, i'm not here for advice atm, maybe one day as I'm always doing something.
I have worked on many new build sites off n on, not something I enjoyed.
edit.
Plus I've done a few jobs for myself. Like kitchen bathroom refits, I'll post some pics maybe.
I still have a cscs card just in case but do occasionally help a few mates who are domestic builders.
As you can imagine, when getting older, I tend to have more 'projects' in my head than for real.
