One thing that troubles me in the culture of this time, is that to be able to rebel against the culture that photo represents means that you have to have been exposed to the very culture it represents.
How can I possibly define a Dubai based internets influencer a disgusting person (IMO) if I am not exposed to their influence?
I accept what the meme means to me, it is showing me what I understand to be Dubai based internets influencers fleeing a war zone.
I have spent considerable time in Dubai, it really is a fantastic place, full of people similar to me. I feel that the type of people depicted in the meme don't really exist in Dubai, for one they couldn't afford it & two they would not feel welcome.

They've been buying fake handbags, watches, sunglasses, etc.
Not in Dubai they haven't. Not much of a market for fakes out there. Dubai is not SkegVegas nor any of the many seaside resorts in Essex.

I think they mostly left to avoid tax. They will be back shortly. Most will need to leave within a month for tax reasons
