Fish falling from the sky ??

We had a humdinger of a thunder storm/rain etc last night, went on for quite a while including a lightening light show.
On the lawn this morning were these two fish. NO, they didn't escape from the pond as that is just Goldfish and newts. I assume that they were picked up by the freak weather from ????? and eventually fell to earth. They are virtually unmarked and fell right next to the pond. I am no fisherman so what are they and what weather conditions meant that they ended up on my lawn ?
And NO, I wasn't on any funny stuff last night

Fish can be carried by weather and dumped , or foxes, birds etc could have dropped them .

They look like little chublets. Generally only found in rivers
