On my sink basin, ive correctly assembled the pop up rods with the basin, when i push down on the rod behind the taps the waste plug pops up as normal, my problems is if i pulled the rod up shouldnt it close the waste plug?

thanks in advance

yes it should go back down (w ehave one with a rotary knob) but they seem to need a lot of adjusting to get them right

you could jut miss out the next two years of tinkering, jamming, and leaking, and fit a plug straight away. Will save a lot of time and effort.

I haven't seen a single basin pop-up that I didn't think was a poor implementation of a Very Bad Idea.

but have you got any to work?
I get them to work, then show the customer, then run away at top speed.

They're the most ridiculous idea I've ever seen - even more so than Agile's claim that only professionals belong to the IPHE.
