Fit washers: Victorian Mixer Tap

Hello.

I need to fit new washers to this Victorian Bath Mixer tap.

Pliers and similar tools will not work.

The securing nuts, H Hot, C Cold, are of the knurled gear-like type.

I guess there may be some type of tool to engage with the slots.

Thanks for any advice.

Do you mean the head gear as opposed to the nut securing the tap from below?

If the former you may have to get new taps as you appear to have tried everything.

Yes , the head gear. I managed to use a Curved Jaw mole grip to undo both the H and C caps as shown in photo.

Not much to grip and build up of limescale made it somewhat awkward/difficult.
