we took out a small wooden window to restore - simple open outward like a cupboard type.
we want to fit it back in now.
Am I right to say that we bed the frame onto lime mortar and then use burnt sand mastic to seal around the window top and sides.
Do you have suggestions for making the window fixings to the stone - originally I think there were only wedges from the inside. We are rendering the stone wall reveal up to the window on the inside so the wedges may not be discrete enough.
Anyway any advice on the above would be great.
Thanks
