I am fitting a new light fitting in a bedroom, but the installed wiring doesn't suit the new terminal block provided.
The existing wiring consists of 2 incoming cables (both of which went into the old fitting comprising a single light bulb), each with a 1 x live, 1 x neutral and 1 x earth wire. The terminal block supplied within the new light fitting has only 2 screw terminals available (marked live & neutral), although another single terminal block is supplied separately.
My questions are, should I combine the live wires and do likewise with the neutral wires and do the 2 x earth go to the separate t/block?
Many thanks.
