Fitting new soil stack

My house was built in mid 60s,... I want to replace the soil stack pipe.
Do i need a special fitting at floor level ???
The original pipe goes into a clay pipe.Will the stack just pull out when cut

I am replacing like for llike....Plastic... The original has been damaged by fire

thats what you want fits into the clay then your plastic in to the top many plumbing merchants do them. made by mcalpine.
