Hi there,
I want to fit zone valves to my central heating system to separate the upstairs and downstairs of my house, each valve controlled by a seperate timer/thermostat.
In my 'boiler room' the plumbing is fairly simple, with the flow and return going upstairs teed off near the boiler. The system is a sealed system with and unvented how water tank.
Is it just a matter of fitting a zone valve to the flow of the downstairs radiators and one to the flow of the upstairs radiators, and wiring them in an 'OR' so that either or both will fire the boiler, or am I missing something?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
