Hi all

Ive just brought a new house and on the plans for the bathroom it shows where the bath will be fitted but this is approx 300mm from the wall (both ends)

I want a shower fitted, Ill probably get a bath shower mixer tap and hang the shower head on a shower rail.

How can I get around the 300mm gap from the wall to the bath? are there special spacers you can buy so the water dont just drip onto the 300mm gap from the wall to the bath.

there must be something I can get?

Regards

Has it actually been built yet? If not get them to move the bath nearer the wall. Otherwise I think you'll have to get a fixed one that pokes out from the wall or a ceiling mounted fella. Much better off asking in the plumbing section tbh. ;)

Hi

The bath is installed now so no chance of getting it moved.

I havent seen a ceiling mounted one?? or poking out version?

I was thinking of extending the brackets which fit on the wall of the shower rail, just thought they would sell something as this must be a common problem.

You could try one of these: http://www.rbsupplies.co.uk/products/Grohe-Rainshower-System-Diverter-with-450mm-Arm.html

You can mount it anywhere and it is fed via a hose to any existing wall outlet. The head rotates on the column so there is flexibility on position. Fairly expensive, but good quality.

If you don't have a wall outlet then you need a on-off/temp control to provide a supply. One of these would do: http://www.rbsupplies.co.uk/product...l-Mixer-Valve-For-Concealed-Installation.html plus whatever style handle you want.

You could throw away your bath taps and have a two way diverter with temp control - one way for the bath and one way for the shower. Then you would want a Rapidly T valve: http://www.rbsupplies.co.uk/product...c-mixer-valve-for-concealed-installation.html

The possibilities are endless.

Thank you, this is ideal this would hang over the bath by approx 150mm with the flexibility of the head moving.

All I need to go with it is thermostatic shower/bath mixer taps.

Cheers

You could mount the shower column part way along the wall adjacent to the bath, rather than the end wall. Then it could overhang by more than 150mm.
