You'd be better removing them all and retiling that section. You'll be lucky not to break any

What's your plan with the tiles, are you refilling the entire area? You don't want to cut the tiles in situ, thatll make a horrendous mess. I'm no tiler but I'd suggest you fit your bottom 2 rows and then offer up the top tile back to front and strike off a mark from the shelf (remember to leave a grout gap). Then take it outside and cut it on a bit of scrap wood or whatever. This way you can flip the tile and have the clean uncut edge along the top, with the potentially ropey cut hidden behind the cistern. Do it individually for each tile because theyll all be different looking at that shelf.
Also if you're going to fix the cistern back through the tiles, get a 6mm tile drill bit, you'll struggle to get through them with normal masonry bits
OP,
Why not cut the soil pipe flush with the wall - doing this will give you a lot more room play with.

Close to the wall will give you more room but it doesn't need to be exact. Then fit it as you say.Not cut it two inches off wall ? Whatever I do, do I then push the pan connector into that one-side then other onto toilet.
Anyway you can.Cut bolts on ban with reciprocating saw?

Yeah ditching the old pan. The soil pipe must drop down to ground floor flat in boxing as don't see it outside on external wall so worried if I cut it flush wouldn't be enough space to push connector inNo, cut it flush - why fool around?
But if you find cutting flush difficult then cut where its easy for you.
Bin the off-cut and the old connector arrangement.
Presumably you are ditching the pan? If so just smash the skirts for quickly releasing the pan from the screws.

No way of knowing without checking inside the pipe box. This might be relevant. Some damp must have got through internal brick wall onto the wall other side to that corner . The box to right of toilet has pipes in it. Is there a leak? I also had a leak from pipe which runs from cistern to pan which I didn't notice for ages (2 months back) so could be just that. Obviously that leak now fixed.
