FITTING YALE LOCK

Hi,

Am replacing Yale Rim Lock P1....ok so far, but when trying to fit lock body on to mounting plate am having problems....is there a knack ? Unable to locate left hand pin on mountning plate at an angle........

There's no knack as such , it should just fit quite easily. One thought , are you trying to fit the new lock to the old mounting plate? Won't work most likely.

Hi Thanks, am fitting all new, but
lock body seems difficult to locate on left hand locating pin...... ? ?

Ok , try taking the mounting plate off the door and assembling the whole thing off the door, it's possible something is bent or misaligned and it will be clearer to see it off the door. When you can fit it together off the door you can then go back to trying on the door.
