On a few occasions now I have been caught out when replacing a basin tap (same may also be true for bath tap) and would like your advice please.
When removing the old tap, I would face something like this:
The other end of this flexible pipe connects to the tap (one of those hand tight jobbies).
I have then naively assumed that a new tap with "similar" flexible will go straight in. But, the new tap always comes with these ends:
This means that I have to purchase one of these and lose the nuts and olives to use as a means of connection:
It seems to be a waste of a Coupler.
Is this normal in terms of the mismatch between current and new tap flexi connections?
If yes, is there a more efficient fitting rather than a coupler less its nuts and olives?
