My son accidentally dropped a glass into our sink bowl and now there is a hole and a crack running 3-4” away from the hole (the crack is barely visible in the photo but can be felt by running a finger along the length of the crack).

What is the best way of fixing this such that a fix would last a few months? We are planning on renovating this bathroom in 6 months time so the fix needs to hold until then.

Thanks in advance.

Consider one of the epoxy products from J-B Weld.......Product Number 50172UK is also dries in white, happily.

If you don't use the bowl to hold water, then hybrid polymer sealant should be OK.

Thanks very much for the product recommendation. Any idea if this stuff is putty like (high viscosity)? Anything too runny will just flow into the hole.

tape underneath to stop it running out if it is runny, as the ones that flow should give a smoother finish

Dry it out with a hair dryer and put a big smear of the cheapest white silicone you can find, over the whole thing

Bonus, It'll harden your resolve to get the refit done too :)

You could, if the bathroom glass has been replaced with a plastic tumbler, consider replacing the sink now with the one you will use after the refit, fixing it in temporarily and reusing it properly later

The product I'm recommending isn't particularly viscous unless everything is really cold.
Mike13 has the answer to that one!
John :)
