I've got a large heavy rediator (2000x600 double panel) to fix to a wall which has been dot & dab plasterboarded.

What sort of fixings should I use? If I can locate a dab, would a the usual method ow screw/wall plug be suitable?

Thanks in advance.

I have cut away the plasterboard and inset a piece of wood at the fixing points. The wood is screwed to the wall and the radiator mountings are fixed to the wood.

Alternatively use door frame fixings through the plasterboard into the blocks/bricks behind.

It really depends on the gap behind the gyproc?
We generally use two methods;
If it's a large gap, then bore into the block/brick, remove the drill bit, put a rawl plug on the end of a long screw(that can be 100mm plus), hammer the plug & screw into the hole, remove the screw & fix the bracket. That normally be good enough to fix radiators.
If there's a smallish gap, these are expensive but good;
