Fixing carpet underlay to screed

Do you tend to glue carpet underlay to screed subfloor? The Internet seems to suggest you should, but in the past I've just let it sit there under its own weight.

They glued ours to the solid floor areas. One continuous strip around the edge then random spots everywhere else.

Fitters usually use a bit of spray adhesive to give the nderlay a bit of 'grab' makes it easier to manouver the carpet when the underlay isnt moving as well.
