Fixing Ditra Matt to ply

Is a standard flexible tile adhesive with 5mm notched trowel the way to adhere the matting to ply decking. Does the adhesive need to be anything special or just a normal flexible adhesive.

Also is Ditra the best out there or are there cheaper products that perform equally as well.

FWIW

I used Ditra with 5mm notched... but mine was on screed, I used semi rapid flexible adhesive for the tiles (as have UFH), all seems well.

I'd use Ditra again
