I am thinking of putting a door closer on my outward opening uPVC patio door but am concerned that screwing into uPVC wouldn’t provide a robust solution. I see ‘mounting plates’ are sometimes recommended to give a better solution but can’t find any details of how to fix the mounting plate to uPVC, if it’s screwed on then that seems to raise the same problem; can anyone enlighten me? Or offer an alternative idea..
