Fixing joists into oak plate?

What sort of nails or screws can I use to fix softwood joists into an oak top plate? If it wasn't oak I'd be using good strong shear nails, but with the tannins and staining in oak I'm not sure what the best choice would be.

It is recommended that with oak you use stainless, brass or bronze fixings. Anything else will stain oak and the oak reacts with other metals especially iron which will corrode.
