fixing redland mini stonewold tiles

I want to use these to replace my entire slate roof as they keep sliding down every couple of years thanks to knackered 100 yr old nails. Do the mini stonewolds have a nib that sits behind the batten or are they nail on jobs?

They have got lugs but all interlocking tiles should now be nailed or clipped.

Really Palace............why must the tiles now be nailed/clipped?

B.S 5534 states that all single lap tiles should be mechanically fixed since April 2015

Is that to stop wind lift?

If your stripping the lot off and the slates are otherwise sound, just re fix with proper nails this time, Ally or copper
