My wife has purchased a molded mushroom table.

The top attaches to the stem be means of a 1/4 turn screw fixing.

However this has come out of the underside of the table.

What would be the best method of re attaching?

I'm thinking probably some form of epoxy, but should I also be looking to pin it? And if so, what with?

I would drill the ring so I could add a few pins that would radiate out and clear the internal mounting
Then clean up the table but leave it a little rough and again add some pins that radiate inwards but clear the first set

Place it in and secure with epoxy
Possibly a good idea to use masking tape or something to ensure that the fitting doesn't fill with epoxy

Go for more GRP! Rough it up a little for key, then slap on more resin and matting, job is a goodun. "Stipple" with a brush or use a special toothed roller. Getting rid of the air bubbles is key to a good job. Don't bother laying up more layers while there's still trapped air - better to leave it to set and sand back rather than plough on.

Hmmmmm, not enamoured by some of the reviews.

Also I'm not sure cement would give the best bond to in unknown GRP style material.

Did you mean to post this in my other thread about filling a gap behind an exterior light?
Some of the negative reviews look like the poster was less than competant. Have use it extensively and found it very good.
Its a resin much like this.

but with added coloured grit to resemble mortar.
