Hi everyone,
I plan on building a Pergola which will be attached to the outside of my house on one side and four 150mm square posts on the other side.
I need to bolt a 150mm x 50mm beam across the width of my house which is 6.2 metres wide.

The external insulation is 90mm thick and I’m thinking of using M12x 200mm concrete bolts to secure the beam. ( I cant find any longer concrete bolts). So 60mm of bolt will be secured into the brick.

Does this sound right?

Many thanks for any help.

You could use threaded bar with nuts and washers... that way you can have them any length, use resin to bond these in the wall.
