I have been thinking of fiting tiles as my kitchen splasback, problem is the splashback at the moment is stainless steel can i fit tiles on top of this as it is a good flat surface any help would be grateful.
Not the ideal surface to fix to, it may be good and flat but how is the SS splash back fitted, will it support the additional weight of tiles?
A lot of them are just fixed via double sided tape!
Why don't you remove SS splashback and start from new?
Thanks for replies they are fitted with grab adhesive but point taken just worried about getting the stainless steel of the wall i am a an electrician so have done a lot of work myself just very little tiling.
