I will be starting the insulation of the garage this weekend and have been recommend that i put a DPM on the walls. This will go against the wall and then 50mm insulation goes on top followed by battens screwed through it all into the wall.

My question is that would you recommend to fix the dpm to the wall until i get the insulation board and battens in place ?

Also whilst the side and rear walls are single skin and i know i have to DPM these, the other wall is the house wall, as the garage is attached. Do i need to also have vertical DPM on this wall ?

Thanks
Dave

Just tack it to the ceiling joists and then when you push your insulation board against it, it will sandwich it into place.
