Fixings for wall mounted clothes rail

I'm converting a spare bedroom into a dressing room and mounting some clothes rails on the wall. The walls are solid brick. I was planning to use masonry bolts but the clothes rail brackets I have bought only have a screw hole diameter of 5mm. I need the rails to be securely fixed to the wall because they will be holding a lot of weight. What kind of screw or bolt should I use?
