Hi,

I have to replace the cladding of my entrance porch which has a flat (felt) roof. The roof looks to be in good condition (no leaks).

It looks like there is a batten fitted along the top to move the drip edge of the roof away from the cladding.

Is there anything that can be done without doing anything major to the existing roof?

Any advice is most appreciated.

Does the existing cladding have to come off, or could you just over clad it and butt up to the timber strip?

Unfortunately due to irreparable wood rot, the cladding will need to be replaced.
