hi just had an extention done one half is 2 story the other is single im looking to insulate the celling void what do people recomend i was looking a celotex and then platerboarding over to provide a small amount of insulation as i belive i need to leave an air gap beneith the boards in order to prevent condensation build up?

Yep, leave a 50mm gap between the roof underside and your slab insulation.
