hi just had an extention done one halfis 2 story the other is singleimlooking to insulate the celling void what do people recomend i was looking a celotex and then platerboarding over to provide a small amount of insulation as i belive i need to leave an air gap beneith the boards in order to prevent condensation build up?

Some punctuation marks would be a start, just so we can read your post without pain.
You obviously have not had the building designed.
In order to satisfy b'regs you need either a 'warm deck' or a 'cold deck' roof and follow the venting procedure properly if you opt for the latter.
Warm deck is simpler (no need for complex venting) and involves fitting 125mm of celotex insulation wholly above the roof joists.
