Hi,
We are planning to have a single story extension roof converted to a pitched roof with 3 velux windows, removal of the dividing all in the extension (not load bearing).
With regards to building regs, would this be required and would I need to submit plans or just the notice?

Any advice would be grand.

Thanks
Michael

In Scotland you would definitely need planning permission for that works so drawings would need to be submitted although it will most probably be different for your council area. I would advise going onto the buildings section of your local authorities website to confirm if planning permission and/or building warrant is required before works commence

You may be able to carry out the works under Permitted Development, so a formal planning application may not be required. Check with your LPA. However, you will need to submit a Building Regulation application.
