So I am needing to relocate a wall socket a few feet and the existing cabling (from floor upwards) has just been plastered into the wall by the looks of things. I'd rather bury it in conduit when I move it. As is typical, a few months ago I threw out about 9.5m of 20mm flexi conduit .

So, considering I only need about 20cm and therefore ordering 10 metres is a bit unnecessary, can I use anything else that might be sitting around? Like 21mm overflow pipe? Anything else you can suggest?

(Presumably the corrugated flexi conduit is better for plastering over as it has more surface area to properly adhere to?)

There's no need to use conduit, PVC cable is fine buried in plaster. Maintenance/replacement- will you still be there in 30 years?
Moving the socket is fine but make sure that the buried cables remain in safe zones.Must be thick plaster if you can lose 21mm of tube in it :)

Assuming your cables are twin and earth cables, you could buy a length of oval conduit - it's very inexpensive.

I worked in quite a few Victorian houses where you could sink a 25mm box easily without removing any brick!
