Hi juys
just to check if its ok to fit this service valve to this pipe fitting, all semms to seal but just wondered if its the right way? It seems like the flexi pipe needs a flat surface and not the taper for the olive.

You could use a file, Dex, yes. Just make sure it is finished nice and flat though, no curves or nicks (yes, speaking from experience!!)

Thanks juys

was concidering the file and checking flatness with a vernier but would like to do it properly, might just get flexes with an olive on an use a short piece of copper tube but was hoping there are diferent valves to use

Thanks

just use the ballofix valves you have and stop piddling about.
just don't over tighten them.

You can do it but don't tighten them up too tight as you'll find the taper cuts the washer, quarter of a turn over hand tight should do it, you can always nip it up a bit more if you need to
