"flexible" Sealant Cracking

Hi, I am using supposedly flexible sealant around my bath where it meets the tiling, and after a month or two, it starts to crack down the middle, is there a means of avoiding this, or should use a different product?

clean the surfaces thoroughly so they are completly clean and grease free
fill bath with water run the bead of sanitry silicone sealant round when dry [overnight if poss] empty bath
