Hi,

Has anybody had problems with code F43, said to a generic fault and to check all electrical connections? The fault goes away using the reset button! I can't see how it can be an electrical problem, Flexicom helpline were no use.Any ideas please?

The early PCBs weren't able to display all possible faults so it logged "generic fault" if it didn't know what it was. If you installed a new PCB if may not fix it but it'd display the real fault and give you more information. Although, it is possible that it's just the PCB itself.

I recently had this with a customer of mine and learned this valuable information from some Glowworm engineers I speak to on another closed forum.

Rather than shelling out for a PCB and fitting it yourself you'd be better off paying a professional to inspect the boiler as this has the potential to get very expensive if the PCB doesn't cure it, you won't be able to return the PCB. Also, the fault may lie within the combustion or gas train and you will need a registered gas installer to do this.

Better still, a Glowworm fixed-price repair might be a better option as the carry the vast majority of parts on their vans.

Hi,

Again many thanks, I'll talk to Glowworm about a callout. I just have to decide whether to do it now or wait till next time.Talk with the wife!

Invaluable advice, appreciated.

Regards
