Glow Worm Flexicom F43 Error

Hi,

I have a Glow Worm Flexicom Boiler. On cold mornings it isn't able to start up. It's set to come on around 6.20am but throws error code F43.

Needs around 4 or 5 resets, then fires up for around 1 minute but then drops out again and throws Error Code F1. Another reset then gets it going and it's fine for the rest of the day, goes off at 8.30am, comes back on at 12pm, off at 2pm, then back on at 4pm till 8pm with no further problems. Off until 6.20am and then same problem.

Any ideas what is causing it?

F43 means generic fault code, you need a competent engineer to fix this, look at a Glow worm fixed price repair, as it can be many things that are causing it, not a fault you can sort yourself

Thanks Yes, just trying to get an idea of what is wrong with it. Otherwise "you need a new boiler" is the first thing that leaves a lot of engineers mouths, which may or may not be true.

Yes sadly far too many so called engineers just want to replace boilers, I would advise a Fixed price repair from Glow worm, they will have any parts that it needs and you will get a warranty, the guys lose their bonus if there is a re-call so will change absolutely anything that it could be to keep their bonus, cant give you an idea of what could be wrong as it can be absolutely anything on that boiler, the last thing you want is to start throwing parts at it
