Hi all, I'm not very clued up on boilers and would really appreciate some help with this before I call someone in.

My boiler was dripping a small amount of water out the plastic cover on the bottom everytime the HW was switched on.

Two days later and the pressure dropped from 0.8 to 0.4 and stopped operating. When reset it would increase to 0.5 and I and when trying to heat water it got to 30degrees then showed Fault 22. I looked this up and it mentioned system pressure so I repressurised it using the flexible hose.

This seemed to work as water would now heat. Problem is that there is now even more water dripping. I took the cover off to see whats what and there is water all over the 'floor' of the casing, around electric wires etc. and I am worried!

I can't identify exactly where the water is coming from but please see pictures below.

Many thanks.

It looks like it is coming from that part with the 5 spokes on it.

For benefit of others this is a Flexicom which you forgot to mention ;)
They most commonly leak from the flexi hose on the left hand side of the boiler, however this would normally be easy to spot, but check it carefully first anyway. Second most likely place is the entire black support hydroblock at the rear where everything is bolted too. Its very hard to see if this is the cause as the water just accumulates at the seam and its very hard to see.
There is a chance its leaking from the diverter valve(the 5spoke thing) or the pump, but the 2 other things i mentioned are much more likely. If its the support you would be well advised to get a pro in as its not an easy job to replace, I've known Glowworm engineers to take a couple of hours.

Many thanks for your quick reply. I have now edited title.

It seems to have calmed down a bit but I will try and have another look tomorrow and see if I can spot where this leak is coming from.

Is it safe to put my hands in there and fiddle about a wee bit (with everything switched off of course)?
