hey all

I changed a 5ft stiplight on my ceiling for a mains halogen light unit, I replaced the twin lightswitch that operates my ceiling light + hall light (normal bayonett bulb in the hall) with a twin dimmable switch

Now My halogen lot is fine, but in the light in the hall was a energysaving bulb that flickered as there not suitable for dimming as Im aware.

So I changed it for a normal lightbulb, bit the normal bulb flashes all the time aswell, flashes very fast, almost feel sick if its on.

have i buggered the lightswitch running the energysaving bulb? whats the possible probs here?

thanks

yes you have "broken" the dimmer
I second that. Energy saving bulbs are now available (somewhere) that are fully dimmable! :D  :D
