Flickering lights

Hi there, for some time we have suffered from flickering lights in our bungalow. It appears to be only the ceiling lights, ie not lamps, nor any other electrical equipment, apparantly. It seems to come and go, we can sit there at night and the light will sort of dim and come back about twice a second. Not all lights are affected though. We had this a while ago and then it went away and it's come back again just lately.
Anyone any ideas? Thanks in advance.

probablly a dodgy connection somewhere

i'd advise getting a sparky in for a periodical as a diyer you probablly won't have either the equipment or the skills to test an install
