Hi All.

My electrics all seem to work fine apart from a minor niggle.

I've noticed that on all extension lead with a small neon light, the neon light flickers all the time.

Also putting a mains tester screwdriver anywhere the small light in the screwdiriver flickers.

Is this something I should be concerned about and what causes it?

A flickering neon means the voltage is not high enough to reliablly light the neon.

There are two posisble causes.

1: all the neons you have tried are very old, old neons tend to go flickery as their operating voltage rises with age.
2: you have low mains voltage.

The first thing I would be doing is measuring the voltage with a multimeter but don't do this yourself if you aren't confident using test probes around live mains.
