Hi Chaps

I am planning to lay a 18mm engineered wooden floor in my conservatory over some tiles. I was also hoping to raise the floor very slightly ( maybe 4 inches total ) but was unsure the best way to go about this. The tiles are pretty uneven.

If the floor was laid on raised joists, would I need to ventilate the gap below?

There is also a small step up to the next room and ideally I want the floor level to be the same throughout. Any thoughts

Would I need any damp proofing? View media item 31896

You could possibly double up some thicker fibreboard engineered wood underlay provided it's fairly sturdy, I wouldn't try it with the roll out style underlay though.
