Floating Shelves Help

I am trying to put up floating shelves in my sons room but the type off wall it screws and wall fittings are just falling straight through will "No More Nails" hold the shelve up ok?

Grab adhesive alone is no good, you need mechanical fixings. It can be used but only to supplement bracket fixings.

Your wall is either masonry with dabbed plasterboard or stud wall.

Dabbed plasterboard will mean longer fixings (screws) and a bit of fiddling to get the plug all the way back into the masonry.

Stud wall will mean either using plasterboard plugs or locating the upright studs.
 
If you have plasterboard walls then they are unsuitable for floating shelves if they are to take any weight, there is a great amount of leverage against the surface which will rip them off if loaded heavily.
