Hi,

I have just removed a lowered ceiling in my hallway and ive found a lightwell with a halogen floodlight. The light is connected into the junction box with white cable, Can i just removed the cable from the floodliht and fit a standard light fitting or will i need to replace the white cable with grey and then link it up

If you mean white flex 3 core cable that was properly installed in the first place, then there is no need to replace it if you are just changing the floodlight for a standard light fitting so as long as the junction box you mention is not concealed.
