Hi All,

Please excuse me if this looks silly to you! Just want to check about the boards used in loft boarding.

Is this only a chipboard or some special type of boards? I have big boards of a chipboard cupboard and kitchen units which is also of chipboard.

Is that can be used as floor boards in loft ?
Appreciate your inputs !!

Regards

If it's a proper loft conversion done to bulding regs, you would need minimum 18 chipboard or equivalent.
For occasional storage use, you could use kitchen unit doors etc but they are usually thinner than 18mm, and you could also end up slipping when you try to walk over them.
