How would you go about detailing the dpc/DPM on an extension where the ffl was set 1m below the existing dpc?
So there would be internal steps down from the existing floor to the new floor.

I was thinking about this last night, I'll try and do a sketch later. How deep is the existing foundation do you happen to know? Age of the property?

Thank you freddie, top of the new floor level is about 600mm above the top of the existing foundations and are 200mm thick. The original house was build around 1935.
As the site slopes there is about 700mm exposed brick work above ground level

It's a bit of an awkward one but this would work OK. Its the same principle you would use if you were converting a garage and trying to keep it dry. Though on one occasion BC have insisted on using special waterproof fixings for the battens rather than just ordinary plugs and screws. Nevertheless a good splodge of sealant into the fixing holes before you fix the battens on will not go amiss.
