Hi all,

I want to put the same tiles on the whole ground floor, so I need to bring all the rooms to the same level and here's where the problems start:

- Currently, in the kitchen and hall, there are quarry tiles with no dpm underneath, while in the dining room and living room, I have brownish screed (I guess bitumen mixed?). I've found I can put Arditex NA directly on quarry tiles, but the difference between the highest and lowest point on quarry tiles is about 30mm, which is too much for Arditex both in terms of manufacturer's recommendation and, more importantly, the cost. So what would be the best approach to level it?

- The difference between the highest point in general (marked in the kitchen) and the lowest point in the living room (also marked) is about 40mm. Both living and dining rooms are lower than the kitchen and the hall, so I thought I'd prime the screed with gritty primer and put 30mm tile backer boards on and then 10mm of self-leveller on top. Is this a good idea?

I guess the best answer would be to remove the quarry tiles and the old screed and just redo everything, unfortunately, it's not an option.
