Hi. I'm hoping for some opinions (dazlight?)
We've uncovered old quarry tiles in our kitchen laid on earth/ash. We're knocking through into the dining room so want the same flooring all the way through, possibly LVT.

We've had differing advice from digging the floor out and replacing it to screeding/priming and putting the vinyl down. We don't know what to do.

The issue of breathability does make sense to me. Would the fball membrane work under LVT?
Could we level the floor with a breathable compound and lay a breathable floor like stone or limestone?

Any advice gratefully received!
